Position Overview:The Personal Injury Litigation Attorney will manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate is an experienced litigator with a strong understanding of personal injury law, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to advocate effectively for injured clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a personal injury litigation caseload from filing through settlement, trial, or verdict.
- Conduct case evaluations, legal research, and liability and damages analysis.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
- Prepare cases for trial and represent clients in court proceedings as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and legal strategy.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and support staff to maximize case outcomes.
- Stay current on applicable laws, regulations, and developments affecting personal injury litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2 years of personal injury litigation experience.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, civil procedure, and litigation practices.
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, negotiations, and mediations.
- Trial experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
