Job Summary:
  • We are searching for an Associate Attorney to assist a Sr. Attorney with managing a diverse portfolio of personal injury cases. The Attorney's responsibilities include meeting with clients to ascertain their needs, choosing the most appropriate course of action, and representing clients' interests at meetings and in court. To be successful, you should demonstrate outstanding research skills and exhibit some familiarity with subspecialties of your field, and utilize this knowledge to successfully conclude cases, as needed. Jury trials maybe be frequent and trial experience is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Consulting with clients to ascertain the details and merits of each case
  • Conducting research using legislation, case law, and other legal texts as sources to decide on a modus operandi
  • Drafting legal texts, including reports, contracts, and appeals
  • Representing clients at meetings, hearings, and trials
  • Advocating for clients in each case
  • Informing the litigation director about salient developments in each case
  • Ensuring that data obtained during interactions with clients is updated in our case management system, remain confidential and are stored securely
  • Conducting regular meeting with your team to ensure deadlines are met, discovery questions are answered appropriately and
  • Remaining abreast of changes to legislation

Qualifications:
  • Accredited Law degree
  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia
  • Proven experience practicing as a personal injury or defense attorney
  • Familiarity with legislation and case law within and related to your specialty
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Perceptive and meticulous, with a thorough understanding of human behavior
  • Capacity to regulate and perform under stress
  • Organizational skills a must
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus
