Description:

About the Firm:
Orlan Injury Law, PLLC is a fast-growing, family-run personal injury law firm serving clients throughout Florida. We started this firm as a husband-and-wife team with a simple belief: people deserve a lawyer who actually talks to them, knows their story, and treats them like a priority.

At many big firms, clients rarely hear from their attorney. That is the opposite of who we are. We make sure every client feels like our only client. They are never just a number, and the level of personal attention we give is the core of our practice and the reason so many clients and referral partners trust us.

As our caseload continues to grow, we are looking for a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney who can manage their own files and contribute meaningfully to a busy, litigation-focused practice.

Responsibilities:
Most of our cases are in litigation. You'll handle files from the moment a potential client calls us through the end of the case, working closely with the managing partner on strategy along the way.
  • Take intake calls and speak with potential clients.
  • Review new matters with the managing partner and help decide which cases the firm should accept.
  • Once a case is signed, take charge of gathering facts, records, and early case development.
  • Draft complaints, motions, discovery requests, and all other litigation filings.
  • Handle written discovery, depositions, inspections, and all day-to-day litigation tasks.
  • Communicate with clients regularly so they always understand what's happening and feel supported.
  • Work with experts, investigators, and medical providers to strengthen liability and damages.
  • Attend and handle hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Move cases forward efficiently and prepare them for resolution, whether through settlement or trial.

Qualifications:
  • Must have litigation experience in personal injury cases, whether on the plaintiff or defense side.
  • Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Comfortable managing your own cases and making strategic decisions.
  • Strong legal writing skills and the ability to draft clear, well-organized pleadings and motions.
  • Confident taking and defending depositions and handling hearings and mediations.
  • Able to communicate with clients in a patient, respectful, and compassionate way.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to keep multiple cases moving without constant oversight.
  • A team player who is willing to collaborate and contribute to a small, growing, family-run firm.

Compensation:
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Performance-based bonuses.
  • Flexible work-from-home opportunities.
  • Paid time off and office closures for major holidays.
  • A supportive, family-run environment where your work is valued and your contributions actually matter.
  • Real growth potential as the firm continues to expand.
