Dynamic mid-sized firm seeks patent attorneys with 4-10 years experience as associates in our fast-growing computer software/hardware patent practice.The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in microprocessor design (HDL, RTL, SCALA) and related technologies. Other areas of interest include database software and systems, structured and natural query languages and processing, software as a service and cloud based systems, semiconductor design and development, high level and low level computer languages including compilation and intermediate representations, data compression including video coding techniques, machine learning including application of neural networks, and artificial intelligence techniques.

We have a presence in Michigan, California, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia and permit attorneys to work remotely from other U.S. locations.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, thoroughly knowledgeable in patent practice, and technically astute. Knowledge of contemporary computer technology is essential and prior work experience involving the demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to legal practice such as patent prosecution, patent litigation, counseling, and transactions is highly valued.
Our formula compensation system rewards attorneys based on performance. For attorneys committed to billing 1800 hours per year, compensation ranges from $200,000 to $300,000 depending on experience.
