Summary:
We are an international logistics company seeking an experienced attorney to support our legal team with contract drafting and review, including some interaction with in-house clients. Our operations span multiple jurisdictions, and we require precise, business-focused legal documentation to support global transactions. The Part-Time Remote Contract Attorney will work closely with our General Counsel to draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements. This is a flexible, remote position requiring approximately 3–4 hours per weekday.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, SAAS license and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in contractual language.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align contracts with business objectives.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice on contract terms.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of commercial law; experience in logistics or international trade preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hours: 3–4 hours per weekday (flexible within business hours).
- Location: Remote (U.S.-based).
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or monthly retainer (commensurate with experience, $120+ per hour)
