Description:

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Data Privacy Litigation Associate to join Fisher Phillips in any one of our California offices. We are seeking an attorney with 5-8 years of litigation experience in data breach and consumer privacy class actions in California state and federal courts. Class action defense experience through class certification in California is required. In addition to experience in litigation arising from data security incidents such as ransomware, the ideal candidate will have experience litigating and handling matters involving consumer privacy claims based on alleged disclosure of data through cookies, pixels, and other tracking technology on websites and apps, such as wiretapping and “trap and trace” claims under the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA). Must be able to autonomously run cases, interface with clients, investigate and evaluate claims, engage with technical experts, appear at court hearings, mediations, and depositions, and negotiate settlements with little supervision.

Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong research, writing and analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will be self-starters with the ability to work independently and as part of a team and will have experience training and/or supervising junior associates. Must be barred in CA and have a JD from an ABA accredited law school.
