In the role of Managing Attorney (“Attorney”), you will be responsible for supervising a group of transactional attorneys who are responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing the execution of various types of commercial arrangements (e.g. confidentiality agreements, subscription agreements, administration agreements, SaaS agreements, and business process outsourcing agreements) in line with corporate standards on behalf of the SEI group of companies. The Attorney will also work with the Team Leader of the Strategic & Commercial Relationships Team, other members of the Legal & Compliance department and with executives in various business and competency units across the company to define corporate standards and create/maintain contract templates that align with SEI's risk and governance structures, contractual commitments and regulatory compliance obligations. Additionally, the Attorney will be responsible for the training and professional development of other members of the team. Experience with investment processing and financial services technology transactions and related issues will be a strong differentiator for potential candidates.

What You'll Do:
  • Assume supervisory responsibilities over the people on the team who are primarily assigned to work on contracts with customers
  • Work with the Team Leader of the Strategic & Commercial Relationships Team and other managing attorneys on the team to ensure alignment and consistency between our contractual relationships, SEI's risk and governance structures, and SEI's regulatory compliance obligations
  • Work with counterparts from other spheres within the Legal & Compliance department to share information and support broader Legal & Compliance department initiatives as well as business unit needs
  • Create/maintain contract templates used for customer relationships
  • Responsible for documenting, educating others on, and working with management to define/refine corporate standards we apply to customer contracts
  • Direct involvement in the most complex/highest risk customer relationships
