Position Overview:We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–10 years of litigation experience to join our growing defense practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling civil litigation matters, possess strong analytical and advocacy skills, and be capable of independently managing a caseload while working collaboratively with partners and support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and defend a variety of litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Prepare and respond to written discovery.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
- Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Develop case strategies and provide timely evaluations and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and courts.
- Maintain accurate billing records and comply with firm and client guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania.
- 3–10 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or general defense litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Trial experience is a plus but not required.
