Description:

A Wrongful Termination Law Firm, a plaintiff-side employment law firm, is seeking a Part-Time Court Appearance Attorney to handle all state and federal court appearances in New York and New Jersey (excluding trials). This role offers steady court work, flexibility, and the opportunity to build experience in employment litigation.

Responsibilities:

Represent the firm in New York and New Jersey state courts (Supreme, Civil, and Superior Courts).
Appear in Federal Courts: SDNY, EDNY, and District of New Jersey for case management conferences, motion hearings, and settlement discussions.
Conduct status conferences, pre-motion hearings, and discovery conferences (both in-person and virtual).
Maintain an active Notice of Appearance with the firm for federal court matters.
Work with the litigation team to ensure seamless court coverage and case updates.

Qualifications:

Licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey (Federal admissions in SDNY, EDNY, and District of NJ required).
At least 2 years of litigation experience (employment law experience a plus but not required).
Strong oral advocacy skills and ability to handle a busy docket.
Ability to attend both in-person and virtual court appearances as needed.
