Growing insurance defense and coverage firm with an expanding client base seeks highly motivated litigation attorneys with 3+ years of experience. We are a team of seasoned litigators, who come from mid-sized to large reputable law firms, and through our aggressive and client-focused approach we have a proven track record of achieving the best results for our clients. We handle a wide array of cases from personal injury defense to complex business disputes, and represent individuals, corporations, and major insurance carriers. If you can manage your own case load, work within a team environment, and are dedicated to producing high quality work product, you are the type of attorney we are looking for.

Prior insurance defense experience is a must, including substantive law and motion practice, conducting and defending depositions (parties, witnesses, experts), discovery and related motions, court appearances, and familiarity with insurer reporting requirements. Trial experience not required, but preferred.

Responsibilities include:
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of agreements, and filing comprehensive complaints and airtight responses;
  • Working closely with a team to prepare comprehensive briefs and motions on each case that goes to trial; preparing persuasive motions;
  • Interfacing with clients about discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and other case-related work;
  • Conducting depositions and discovery; performing industry research on legal matters related to specific matters, as well applicable legislation; and
  • Making frequent court appearances, hearings, and pre-trial conferences.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience and admission in good standing with the California State Bar;
  • Familiarity with insurance policies (GL, D&O, E&O, etc.) and insurer requirements;
  • Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills;
  • Strong research, writing and analytical skills;
  • Excellent academic credentials; and
  • Able to handle your own caseload.
