Overview:We are seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law and possess exceptional legal research and drafting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Provide support to senior attorneys on complex litigation matters
- Handle administrative tasks related to litigation cases
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience in securities law, immigration law, environmental law, or related fields is a plus
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
