Description:
Responsibilities:- Legal research all issues in litigated cases
- Draft and answer discovery requests
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft and file pleadings and issue summons for service
- Draft and defend motions
- Argue motions and otherwise attend court
- Second and first chair trials and arbitrations
- Assist in preparing cases for trial, mediation, and arbitration
- Significant client contact
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and practices
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Prior experience in litigation or related field is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
