The Opportunity
The MassMutual Law Department delivers world class legal advice, counsel, and business partnership to their clients. This is a paid opportunity for hybrid work, based in Springfield, MA. The internship will begin in Spring of 2023 with an estimated 20 hours per week.

The Team
The Legal Operations Team is foundational to this success. Some of the core processes of the Legal Ops team include:
  • Litigation and legal support
  • Communications management and vendor relations
  • Data and technology strategy
  • Capacity building and equity practices

The Impact
As a Legal Ops intern, you will gain valuable experience in a growing field as a member of this team, helping to create solutions and connect people to resources. You will practice skills through experiences like:
  • Attending client meetings
  • Invoice protocols and processing
  • Team meetings and visits to MassMutual offices in Boston
  • Shadowing and participating in the full cycle of legal services
  • Contributing to the operationalization of diversity and inclusion practices

Ideal Qualifications for successful candidates:
  • Legal Studies or related major in the Junior or Senior year of study (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work both onsite and remotely
  • Demonstrated commitment to and lived experience in the principles and practices of equity
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal and written)
