Description:
Qualification:- Contracts & Transactions: Draft, review, and negotiate international commercial agreements and legal correspondence, providing pragmatic risk-control advice and proposing alternative clauses.
- HR Litigation & Employment Matters: Advise on and manage U.S. employment law issues, including California labor disputes and HR-related litigation, ensuring compliant and commercially sound outcomes.
- Regulatory & Operational Compliance: Ensure day-to-day compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local legal requirements, safeguarding the company's operations.
- Cross-Border Compliance: Research and interpret multi-jurisdictional laws and regulations; conduct compliance assessments on cross-border structures, delivery models, and regulatory regimes; develop and implement practical compliance solutions.
- Training & Awareness: Design and deliver compliance training for business units, strengthening employee understanding of legal and regulatory obligations.
- General Legal Support: Support other legal and compliance projects and carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Admission to the California Bar (active license).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an in-house legal team or law firm.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project execution capabilities, with a high sense of responsibility.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in cross-border transactions and compliance.
- Demonstrated interest in international business and long-term professional development in legal and compliance functions.
