About the role:The Legal Compliance and Corporate Affairs organization seeks a highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our Global Legal Services Center of Excellence. This role will play a key part in driving transformation in the legal department through driving change management communication, establishing standards, streamlining processes, and improving resources. The successful candidate will possess change management experience, communications experience, excellent contract drafting skills, project management experience, Salesforce systems experience, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of transactional infrastructure governance policies and processes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in Legal and Business Technology to implement process and technology solutions
- Leading change management messaging and communication to executive, legal team, and cross-functional audiences
- Mapping workstreams and department processes, identifying complexity, effort and risk
- Leveraging business expertise to implement process improvements and serve as a trusted advisor for business users
- Proactively participate in organizational change and launch support processes, aiding change management and support enablement
- Leading negotiations for enterprise-level agreements (SaaS, procurement, non-disclosure, etc.)
About You:
Basic Qualifications:
- J.D. Degree and membership in at least 1 state bar
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or in-house/public sector legal department
- 3+ years of experience in modern contract drafting
- 3+ years of experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) concepts and technology
Other Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of CLM integration with other systems, Salesforce and Conga CLM a plus
- Advanced Word and PowerPoint skills
- Experience working in an agile environment and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to identify and leverage workflow automation tools to streamline operations and improve business efficiency
- Analytical and methodological approach to problem-solving with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and listening skills to effectively gather and understand business requirements from stakeholders
- Experience working in a legal department, particularly with customer contracts (strongly preferred)
- A strong interest in AI solutions and their application in data analysis, with a willingness to learn and contribute to model development and deployment
