Our business & employment law firm (90% Plaintiff) has quite a unique mix of clients that provide interesting cases. We are seeking an attorney who is (preferably) experienced in Plaintiff's employment law/ Business law or willing to learn. (our cases are half in Superior court and half in Federal court).

Our offices are conveniently located in the Golden Triangle behind the La Jolla Marriott. [Please Note: In addition to your salary, we offer generous bonuses that can add significantly to your pay; you receive 5 weeks off with pay after 4 years with our firm. The position is in-office.

We seek someone who is genuine, easy to work with, and a good team player. You should be able to take ownership of your projects and meet deadlines in advance. We are not looking for copy-and-paste type persons; our pleadings are custom-made to the individual case. The ideal candidate should have superb research and writing skills.

We seek someone well-spoken, professional, and who likes to learn, with great research skills. We are seeking someone who can work well without supervision. You should be motivated (we don't micromanage), a self-starter, and someone who can handle a fast-paced environment. We are happy to mentor and will take you to the next level, but you must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and bring some experience to the table. You should have at least 2 years' experience in law and motion, be able to propound and respond to discovery, as well as write briefs of various kinds. You will be expected to argue motions in court, and attend various hearings and depositions.

The Responsibilities Include:
  • Drafting demand letters and complaints, as well as answering complaints
  • Propounding and responding to written discovery
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Preparing and defending motions, as well as arguing them
  • Preparing the docs for, and attending arbitrations and mediations
  • Preparing cases for trial and importantly, and
  • Providing our clients with outstanding customer service and communication.

Our firm realizes that if not for our clients, we have no purpose. As a result, our goal is the best customer service in the country. You should share that philosophy. While we are sensitive to a work-life balance, we are seeking an attorney who is a hard worker, can multitask, and pay attention to details. In return, if you have a vet or dental appointment in the daytime, not a problem. After 4 years, you receive 5 weeks off with pay. At the inception, you receive your birthday and Valentine's Day off with pay.
