Job Description Summary:
The Junior Attorney will be responsible to assist generally in the management of the legal affairs of the company and provide advice concerning the legal rights and obligations of the Company, with an aim to reduce or eliminate legal risk to the Company. Significant areas of focus will include assisting the Company's procurement and operations groups and reviewing and negotiating various types of construction-related contracts with a focus on renewable energy.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Advise management concerning business transactions involving clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Draft and review construction and procurement contracts and assist in contract negotiations with all Company business partners.
  • Represent the Company in meetings, calls and transactions with outside and opposing counsel.
  • Advise the Company concerning claims and disputes with subcontractors, suppliers, and other business partners.
  • Conduct research and interpret laws, rulings and regulations for implications and applicability to Company matters, focused on renewable energy and construction-related items.
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
  • J.D. in Law, Membership in a Bar Association.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an attorney with strong emphasis on construction, procurement, renewable energy, and general business law.
  • Working knowledge of construction and procurement methodology and contract law.
  • Superior analytical skills, problem-solving and negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership and management ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
