The law firm of A Full-Service Law Firm is seeking to hire an attorney with at least seven years of experience in international trade law. This position offers the opportunity to work with the Firm's diverse business clients on complex international transactions across various industry sectors. The candidate will collaborate regularly with talented attorneys in a wide range of practice areas across the Firm's six offices.

Our dedicated team represents some of the country's leading businesses engaged in global trade. This position is focused on navigating the complexities of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and trade agreements.

The ideal candidate will have specific expertise in advising and counseling clients on customs and import control matters, including tariff classification, valuation, transfer pricing, audits, forced labor compliance, and customs enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders.

Candidates based in the Seattle, WA, Spokane, WA, Portland, OR, Washington, D.C., or New York, NY areas will be considered. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • 7 years of customs and import control matters, including tariff classification, valuation, transfer pricing, audits, forced labor compliance, and customs enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders experience;
  • A portable book of business is required;
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law required;
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills;
  • A client-service approach and exceptional communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm to work as part of a diverse team or independently;
  • The ability to manage significant individual responsibilities;
  • The ability to work on and manage multiple projects at one time;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; and
  • Responsive and professional service.
