Summary:
DLA Piper is actively seeking a mid to senior level associate with 3+ years of experience for our Employment Group. We are looking for candidates with experience for an employment counseling position that will support cross-border and global employment work. International counseling experience is strongly preferred, and position will interact frequently with other offices in DLA's global employment practice. This associate will be responsible for conducting employment diligence and advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions; drafting and negotiating employment, retention and related agreements; advising on reductions in force and other employee terminations; drafting restrictive covenants and counseling on employee mobility and will also provide advice and counsel to emerging companies in all aspects of employment law. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are essential. We seek candidates with immediately transferable skills and a strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school. Education:
JD from a nationally recognized law school

Bar Admission
Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying

Experience:
  • 3+ years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/ or international)
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.

Physical Demands:
