Description:
A Full-Service Law Firm is actively recruiting an Intellectual Property Technical Specialist Intern in our Denver, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., or Wilmington offices. This position will gain experience working with our attorneys and patent agents to obtain in-depth understanding products or technologies and the documentation requirements to communicate it accurately and effectively to draft patent applications under the supervision of the firm's partners. Technical Specialist Interns also assist patent attorneys in all stages of the patent process, including freedom-to-operate preparation, application drafting and prosecution.Successful candidates will be current sophomores, juniors, or seniors in pursuit of their undergraduate degree or candidates in pursuit of a master's degree in one of the following subject areas: chemical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. Candidates must be collaborative and motivated to succeed in a client-focused, team-oriented environment. Candidates must also have excellent academic credentials and have strong written and oral communications skills.

This position is a full-time, 10-week internship opportunity. Current firm plans for returning to work include an average of 2-3 days in the office. The anticipated initial hourly rate for someone who is hired into this position is $40/hour or $1,500 weekly on a 37.5 hour a week schedule. Actual initial salary will be based on the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law.
