Description:
Established and growing boutique law firm handling large excess commercial liability and property insurance and reinsurance claims seeks attorney with approximately 8-20 years of practice for full-time work. You will work on claims arising from headline events on behalf of US, Bermuda, and UK insurers.Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate and active admission to the bar of any state with the ability to become admitted in New York or Illinois
- Highly professional with the highest ethical standards
- Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal skills
- Successful front-line litigation or arbitration experience
- Minimum seven years Insurance and reinsurance coverage experience or complex contract contract litigation experience
- Passion for generating excellent legal work
- A "client first" team player who thrives in a collegial but demanding goal-oriented environment
- Excellent academic credentials
- Experience working on $10+ million litigation preferred
- Periodic US and overseas travel required
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting rate: $125-$225+/hr based on experience and qualifications (salary estimates based on 1600 hours/yr worked)
- Hours are flexible, subject to five-hour core business day requirement
- 401(k) and pension plan after 1-year and minimum hours-worked threshold
- This is an equity ownership track position
