As an Insurance Recovery Attorney you will engage in sophisticated and challenging insurance recovery work for clients across the nation. Candidates should have a minimum of 3+ years of experience representing policyholders for a wide range of insurance policies, as well as managing all aspects of the insurance recovery process. This position will be responsible for representing policyholders in insurance recovery matters, counseling clients on available coverage, negotiating with insurance companies, and when necessary, litigating to secure the maximum recovery.

This position can sit in any of the following offices: Akron, Columbus or Toledo, Ohio; Sarasota or Tampa, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina or Charleston, South Carolina.

Job Requirements:
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Valid bar license for the state in which candidate will work out of
  • 3+ years' insurance recovery law practice experience
  • Strong technological skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and practice management systems, portals and technologies
  • Superior research skills, including the use of online services, databases and the Internet
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Project management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time
  • Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day
  • Bending and stooping occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
