Are you a skilled attorney with a passion for insurance litigation? Our dynamic and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team in San Diego. We will also consider Associates to work with our San Diego team located in our Orange County and Los Angeles offices.Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will assist with all aspects of case handling, including but not limited to:
- Handling a variety of insurance defense matters:
- Personal Injury: Representing clients in cases involving high exposure claims of bodily injury or harm, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and related claims.
- Habitability: Defending landlords and property owners in claims related to alleged unsafe or uninhabitable living conditions.
- Toxic Tort: Handling claims involving alleged exposure to harmful substances, such as lead, mold, chemicals, carbon monoxide, liquid nitrogen, PFAS and other substances and addressing related health concerns.
- Insurance Fraud: Investigating and defending against fraudulent claims to protect clients' interests and mitigate potential losses.
- General Liability: Managing a broad range of liability claims, including property damage, slip-and-fall incidents, and other negligence-based cases.
- Class Actions: Defense of class action matters
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Court appearances, settlement conferences, mediations, and participation in trial preparation.
- Provide strategic advice to clients, ensuring their legal and business objectives are met.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active California state bar membership required.
- Citizen of United States of America.
- 3-8 years of experience in insurance litigation or relevant practice areas.
- Strong knowledge of civil law, evidence code, and dispute resolution processes.
- Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently as a self-starter.
- Proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Available for some travel.
