Job Overview
Randall C. Grasso & Associates, the staff counsel for SeaHarbor, is seeking an associate trial attorney with 1-2 years of civil defense litigation and first chair trial experience to join their team. Candidates should possess exceptional knowledge of Texas and Louisiana civil trial procedure, outstanding research abilities, and have excellent written and oral advocacy skills. Candidates should also have excellent analytical skills, be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a caseload independently and in a time-sensitive environment.

The position can be in office or remote. Our Staff Counsel office is located in Dallas.

Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a law degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school and excellent academic credentials. The candidate must have an active law license to practice in Texas and Louisiana and be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of Louisiana. We are willing to train an entry level litigator, but the ideal candidate would have at least two years of experience handling first and third-party auto injury cases from inception to conclusion. Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; SeaHarbor will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunities.

Other Qualifications:
  • Jury trial experience.
  • Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law commensurate with level of experience.
  • Experience presenting and cross-examining lay and expert witnesses.
  • Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling.
  • Experience working in a paperless electronic environment.

Spanish-speaking ability is welcomed, but not required.
