Ropers Majeski’s growing and dynamic insurance practice has an opportunity for an Insurance Coverage Litigation and Bad Faith Attorney with a minimum of four years of insurance coverage litigation and bad faith experience to join our Los Angeles or Menlo Park offices. For the right candidate, we will consider a remote position for an attorney admitted and residing in California.

We advise clients on complex litigation and sophisticated business transactions in a broad range of industries on behalf of domestic and international businesses and individuals. Qualified candidates must have at least four years of experience handling first-party insurance coverage and bad faith litigation matters in State and Federal court. They should be able to manage cases from inception through trial including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, attending court hearings, and conducting legal research, analysis and writing. Experience providing coverage analysis to clients, including experience with commercial general liability, commercial property, homeowners, automobile, and D&O policies is a plus. Our ideal candidate will also have experience drafting coverage opinions, reviewing and analyzing claims data, preparing coverage letters, conducting policy review and analysis, and providing a wide range of insurance coverage services to our clients. Candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, have excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills, and be able to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner. Experience with managing e-discovery is a plus but not required. CA Bar admission is required.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000 commensurate with experience.
