Responsibilities and practice:
A Worlds Largest Law Firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join our sophisticated Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice's insurance coverage team. Candidates should have 4-6 years of litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation experience, and excellent academic credentials. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Drafting complex case evaluations, drafting pleadings, motions and other litigation documents
  • Working on all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal where relevant
  • Conducting, propounding and responding to discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions)
  • Working with clients, witnesses, experts and other counsel
  • Analyzing insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, including drafting coverage opinions or other coverage analyses

Technical skills:
  • 4-6 years of litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation experience
  • Strong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills
  • Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus
  • Experience handling PFAS (polyfluoroalkyl substances) litigation is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and be in good standing
