Four-Season Travel LLC is a leading tourism operator in Southern California, offering charter bus services, tour operations, and maintenance. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services with top-of-the-line buses and exceptional experiences for our clients. As we grow, we are seeking an In-House Counsel to join our team for the purposes of defending any labor and employment cases, litigating corporate matters, advising the Human Resources department (“HR”), drafting and reviewing contracts, representing the company's interests through demand letters and responses to such, assessing regulatory compliance, and advocacy and counsel for any other legal or business concerns.

Candidate must have California Bar License and willing to work from El Monte, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Defend Four-Season Travel LLC in labor and employment litigation from and through prelitigation, pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, trial, and judgment enforcement relating to wage and hour, PAGA, FEHA, and other employment claims.
  • Prosecute and advocate for Four-Season Travel LLC in varying breach of contract cases in Los Angeles Superior Court and Arbitration.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Provide case strategy and updates to Four-Season Travel LLC's Manager on a monthly basis.
  • Researching developments in labor and employment law, transportation regulations, and business practices.
  • Advise on compliance of labor and employment laws, wage order applicability, and HR policies to minimize legal risks.
  • Draft, review, and oversee the execution of various business agreements, contracts, and negotiations including being able to identify the legal and business risks and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with employment standards, transportation regulations, and best business practices.
  • Coordinate and advise outside counsel on pending personal injury litigation matters.

Qualifications:
  • Experience representing companies in court and handling labor-related disputes.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law, business litigation, or personal injury liability, with a strong track record of handling litigation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and legal research skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and LexisNexis.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality and attorney-client privilege.
