Excellent opportunity for an attorney to learn and grow with one of the nation's leading immigration law firms. This position is in-office/hybrid at our headquarters office in Washington, DC.

The immigration attorney in this position will be responsible for representing clients in a wide variety of business and individual immigration matters to include high volume NIV and IV petitions, PERM labor certifications, National Interest Waivers, O-1 and EB-1 petitions. The immigration attorney will collaborate with other attorneys and manage legal assistants and paralegals in the filing of assigned immigration case work. Qualified candidates for the immigration attorney position will have at least 3 years of business immigration law experience, possess the ability to develop and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with clients through their professional manner, reliability, proactive communication, responsiveness, quality and consistency of case work and advice. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to remain organized, work with attorneys and paralegal managers to confirm priorities, and ensure deadlines are met. Qualified candidates will also be relied upon to be a supportive team member, promote a positive and respectful work environment and be willing to “roll up their sleeves” to assist others.

Qualified candidates will:
  • Have 3+ years of experience as an immigration attorney with relevant experience. For less experienced attorneys, previous immigration law experience ( law clerk, paralegal or similar) would be considered.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Work independently to meet deadlines and internal and external client needs.
  • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills with English-speaking clients. Multi-lingual is a plus.
  • Possess empathy and compassion for clients, understanding the demands and pressures of their personal and professional immigration issues.
  • Answer client and staff questions with a firm understanding of the ethical rules for communication.
  • Be proficient, or possess the ability to easily become proficient, in various technology utilized by the firm from our case management system to productivity applications such Microsoft Office and ClickUp, demonstrating enthusiasm and initiative to acquire new technological skills quickly.
  • Process a high volume of cases and works on cases of increasing complexity ensuring a high-quality work product while meeting deadlines.
  • Partner with other members of the firm to review and/or suggest process improvements and support implementation.
  • Be a supportive member of our team who contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively information people need to know to do their jobs so they can produce accurate work and make decisions based on all available facts.
  • Work with Paralegal Managers to assign and prioritize work for paralegals and legal assistants and ensure tasks stay on track.
  • Assist with the development of training for staff and clients.

Minimum Education Level:
Juris Doctor
