Description:An In-House Firm is currently seeking full-time, General Counsel at their East Canton location. The General Counsel will ensure adherence to legal standards and in-house policies. They perform regular audits of business procedures and processes to ensure this compliance as well as develop risk management strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborates as member of management team.
- Advises the senior management on business operations relating to investment, risks and any other policy development.
- Supervises the analysis, interpretation, and negotiation of contract documents. Manage contract lifecycle.
- Provides guidance and oversight for the company to conduct its business in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Provides leadership for the EH&S team.
- Analyzes internal business systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards.
- Creates, modifies, updates, and implements the company's policies.
- Acts as the liaison between the company and regulatory bodies, handling inspections, audits, and other regulatory interactions.
- Develops risk management strategies.
- Designs control systems to address cases of violation of internal business policies.
- Designs ongoing training programs for employees of the business.
- Collaborates with departmental leaders to ensure that all business operations are in line with business policies.
- Conducts regular internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance and manage regulatory risk.
Requirements:
Education/Skills Requirements:
Juris Doctorate Degree
Required Skills & Experience:
- Must be licensed in a jurisdiction, preferably Ohio
- 10+ years of experience in compliance in the Construction and/or Industrial Services Industries
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Teamwork oriented.
