An International Law Firm seeks a junior associate to join our Food and Drug law team, which is situated within our Chemical and Life Sciences (CLS) Practice Group. This position will be based in our Washington, DC office. Candidates should have 1-3 years of regulatory experience, preferably at the United States Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) or in positions involving implementation of its regulatory framework. Previous experience with the regulation of food-contact materials is a plus.

An International Law Firm's expanding Food and Drug Team has significant experience in FDA and comparable international regulation of food-contact materials, drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices. They utilize their joint scientific and legal backgrounds to establish global regulatory compliance for clients' products; counsel clients on food additives, food-contact materials, and food and drug packaging; and perform compliance audits and training seminars for clients. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. An International Law Firm offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment. The expected salary for this position is $215,000 - $250,000, depending on experience. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Membership in the District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing, is also required. A technical background (biology, chemistry, engineering) also is preferred, but is not required.
