Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced First Chair Jury Trial Lawyer with a minimum of 20 years of litigation experience to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled attorney with a strong track record in leading jury trials and achieving favorable verdicts. The successful candidate will handle high-stakes, complex litigation, develop trial strategies, and serve as the primary advocate in court. What You'll Do:
  • Serve as lead trial counsel in jury trials, managing cases from inception through verdict.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive trial strategies, including jury selection, opening and closing statements, and examination of witnesses.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategy recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant case law, procedural rules, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with experts, investigators, and consultants to prepare compelling cases.

What you bring:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and current bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction(s). (Arizona and/or New Mexico, Nevada)
  • 20+ years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on jury trials as first chair.
  • Proven trial record with a detailed trial resume showcasing representative cases, verdicts, and notable achievements.
  • Exceptional oral advocacy, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Strong ability to manage complex cases and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring attorneys and legal staff.

Preferred Skills:
  • Expertise in areas such as insurance defense, corporate litigation, or other complex litigation fields.
  • Ability to manage a caseload while meeting deadlines and achieving favorable outcomes.
