A Law Firm in Downtown Chicago is seeking an experienced Family/Matrimonial Law Associate/Staff Attorney to join our dynamic and compassionate team. - Conduct initial consultations with clients regarding family law, matrimonial, and paternity issues.
- Represent clients in court, handling divorce, child custody, and spousal support cases.
- Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research on laws and precedents to build strong cases for clients.
- Provide ongoing legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the legal process.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop legal strategies for complex family law cases.
Qualifications/Skills:
- (Required) Licensed to practice law in Illinois
- (Preferred) At least 3 years of experience at a law firm
- Strong understanding of Illinois family law statutes and regulations
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes in matrimonial disputes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
- Familiarity with legal software
