Description:
The Graves Law Firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney with 1-2 years experience to provide the following duties:
- Communicate with clients and discuss options, strategies and solutions at key junctures of their case so they understand their options and make informed decisions; ??answer client questions about law, facts, procedures, and case status
- Conduct legal research, draft memos, and develop strategies
- Collect evidence to support your client's position
- Prepare Family Law documents/pleadings: Summons and Petitions, responses, declarations, divorce judgments, motions, replies, mediation and/or trial briefs/letters, trial preparation, etc.
- Propound and respond to form and special interrogatories, requests for documents, and requests for admission; summarize Discovery
- Participate in settlement conferences, present evidence, advise clients on the strengths and weaknesses of their cases, and analyze probable outcomes
- Conduct and defend depositions (of parties, third party witnesses, and experts)
- Prepare clients for hearings and trials
- Attend hearings and trials
- Manage a full caseload of family law cases of varying degrees of complexity
