The Pre-Litigation Attorney position is located in our downtown Chicago office and is a hybrid position after successfully achieving competency in the role.

Summary:
The Pre-Litigation Attorney supports the mission and goals of A Personal Injury Attorney by representing our clients' best interests through their legal journeys and negotiating the settlements with insurance companies. The Pre-Litigation Attorney strives to maximize case values to ensure each client receives a most favorable award possible for the loss.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Pre-Litigation Attorney is responsible for the direction and guidance of the case management team assigned to the attorney.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage all phases of personal injury cases from intake through settlement, maximizing case value
  • Conduct thorough case investigations to determine liability and damages.
  • Draft and file legal documents needed in pre-litigation.
  • Negotiate the most favorable settlements to maximize case value with insurance companies.
  • Provide exceptional client service, keeping clients informed about the progress of their cases.
  • Special projects, as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois
  • In good standing with the Illinoi Bar
  • Excellent legal research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Collaborative leadership skills

Education & Experience:
  • Juris Doctoral degree from accredited school of law
  • Four to six years of experience with personal injury claims, with a focus on Pre-Litigation
  • Preferred legal case management database experience
