Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks a product stewardship associate with three to five years of experience to join one of our seven offices. The position will have a primary focus on product regulatory work, including environmental, extended producer responsibility, and technical/product conformity regulatory and compliance matters in the United States and globally.The position will have a primary focus on product regulatory work, including environmental, extended producer responsibility, and technical/product conformity regulatory and compliance matters in the United States and globally. Our product regulatory practice involves multidisciplinary work on many types of products, including electronics, batteries, chemicals, pesticides, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. This is a highly dynamic field in one of the fastest-growing areas of environmental and related law, and B&D is fortunate to advise a large client base of companies and trade associations on these issues.
The work involves support for our clients on an array of issues such as: market access; product development and premarket approval; responsible sourcing, supply chain, and transactional support; other ESG advice; chemical and materials restrictions; labeling, energy efficiency, marketing and advertising; product safety; hazmat transport; reverse distribution; and circular economy issues, including product stewardship and recycling, and waste. Relevant experience would include an exposure to these areas as well as work with regulatory federal agencies such as EPA, USDA, CPSC, DOT, FAA, DOE, FTC and similar state entities. Experience with FCC equipment authorization or FDA product regulatory domains for electronic devices is also highly useful. International work experience would also be relevant.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state jurisdiction, or the ability to obtain licensure in the relevant state within 6 months of hire.
- Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail, strong organization skills, the ability to work well under deadlines, and the ability to assume significant client responsibilities.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

In accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which this position may be filled, the base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $230,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus and an hours-based bonus.
