In order to meet that commitment, we maintain a very reasonable 1,600 hour annual billing expectation and encourage attorneys to work from wherever they are most productive. While we maintain pleasant and fully equipped offices in Northbrook, Illinois, all attorneys have the option of maintaining a hybrid work schedule.Our clients include franchisees of global corporations, Fortune 500 companies, and small businesses. Every attorney handles all aspects of employment law counseling, agency charge response, and litigation.
Employment Law Associate Responsibilities:
- Counsel clients on employment matters
- Investigate and respond to local, state, and federal agency charges
- Draft and review employment policies and employee handbooks
- Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including assisting with case strategy, conducting written and oral discovery, research, and drafting pleadings, motions, & briefs
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with clients' supervisory and HR staff
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law, as well as experience counseling and effectively communicating with clients
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to be focused, detail oriented, and “leave no stone unturned” in advocacy efforts on behalf of our employer clients
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment
- Stellar academic credentials
- Member in good standing of the bar of one or more states
