Introduction:A Government Entity, the State's chief law enforcement officer, has a broad responsibility to combat crime, uphold civil rights, safeguard families, provide legal services to entirety of state government, and fight fraud.
In the Civil Division, approximately 80 attorneys provide legal support to the executive branch agencies in the form of general counsel advice, administrative hearing prosecutions, board representation, and all stages of civil litigation.

Summary Statement
A Government Entity is seeking a Deputy Attorney General (DAG) to join its Civil Division Fiscal Integrity and Protection Unit, to represent the Department of Elections and the State Board of Elections. The Department of Elections is the state agency charged with registering people to vote, conducting fair and impartial elections, administering polling places, educating voters, managing campaign finance, and collecting and reporting election results.
Essential Functions:
The Elections DAG will represent the Department and the State Board and will serve as a subject matter expert on their statutory functions, including all manner of statutory interpretation of Title 15. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing legal advice on matters related to the conduct of elections and voting, drafting and reviewing legislation and regulations, procurement law and Freedom of Information Act compliance, drafting and reviewing contracts, requests for proposals, and representing the agency or agency officers and employees in judicial and administrative proceedings.
Job Requirements:
The skills required for this position include the ability to research accurately and effectively, as well as the ability to give sound legal advice to an agency client, based upon a thorough review of the relevant regulations, statutes, and other authorities. The Elections DAG must have or be able to develop a good working relationship with other Deputy Attorneys General, support staff and agency personnel. The Elections DAG must have the ability and determination to learn and apply the relevant laws and regulations. Membership in Delaware Bar is required.
