As Cybersecurity & Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on cybersecurity and privacy issues impacting An American Multinational Technology Company's business and products across the globe. You will work directly with key stakeholders, including business teams, engineers and across the legal department on An American Multinational Technology Company security and privacy activities, including regulatory issues and policy matters.
Description:
At An American Multinational Technology Company, we consider that Privacy is a fundamental human right. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to work directly with key stakeholders on a variety of cutting edge projects including:
- Providing legal support to teams assessing cybersecurity practices and requirements, including supplier cybersecurity programs
- Responding to cybersecurity and privacy incidents
- Drafting and negotiating data protection and cybersecurity agreements
- Assisting with legal advocacy and policy work on privacy, cybersecurity and online safety issues
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience counseling on security and privacy legal issues, including incident response, data protection and cybersecurity agreements, and policy matters
- JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-house experience a plus but not essential
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional written and verbal skills
- Ability and commitment to work both independently and collaboratively with numerous people at all levels throughout the company
- Sound business judgment, and flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple wide-ranging matters, conflicting deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change
- Demonstrated ability, in a positive, commercial and practical manner, to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and effectively
