We are seeking a criminal defense attorney committed to providing exceptional legal representation and protecting the rights of our clients. This individual should be prepared to represent current clients in need of criminal representation but also to help grow the practice. Substantial opportunities for bonuses are available.Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in criminal law.
- Spanish speaker highly preferred.
- Proven track record of success in handling a range of criminal defense cases, including trial experience.
- Strong understanding of laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Ability to manage a large case load.
Expectations:
- Manage a significant caseload from intake through resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings and briefs, and develop effective case strategies.
- Representing clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges in court in Colorado.
- Negotiating plea agreements.
- Representing our clients in every phase of the criminal process, including arraignments, pretrial hearings, trials, and sentencing hearings.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, keeping them informed about case status and legal options.
- Prepare for trial, including any required discovery such as depositions, retention of experts, gathering of evidence.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure all deadlines are met and clients receive comprehensive representation.
