The ideal candidate will have solid experience in criminal law which will ensure that our clients' needs are met in terms of providing fair and unbiased representation in criminal matters.

Daily Duties:

Build strong defenses for clients charged with crimes or facing criminal charge
Create successful case strategies through thorough investigations and interviewing of witnesses
Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals
Represent clients in court proceedings
Negotiate final pleadings on behalf of clients
Provide legal advice on a wide range of criminal issues
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations
Work toward obtaining dismissals or lesser charges by negotiating with prosecuting attorneys
Research statutes, crime codes and case law that pertain to the specific charges our clients are facing
Maintain a close working relationship with the clients

Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

Passing of the Texas State Bar
Strong negotiation skills
Clear demonstration of competence in their work
Solid ability to see all cases from the beginning to the end
Strong communication skills to successfully advise clients and speak on their behalf
Skilled at negotiating plea deals on behalf of clients
Proficiency in legal research methods
Confident and upfront personality in his/her ability to represent the client
Familiarity with legal administrative tasks in a law office setting

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the state bar association (Texas State
Prior experience practicing law in relevant areas is preferred
