Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our team as a Counsel of Pay Equity Compliance and Strategy. Our product is an enterprise software platform that addresses DEI and pay equity with the mission of creating a better working world for all. Among others, the primary responsibilities of this role involve client onboarding, industry engagement, legal compliance, and product development. It also includes participation in legislative affairs and other legal corporate matters as needed. In addition, the candidate will act as a thought leader for the company, participating in conferences, webinars, and other events to discuss pay equity issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring successful onboarding of clients by working with the implementation team.
  • Engaging in speaking events as a thought leader, such as conferences, webinars, and podcasts.
  • Tracking and analyzing laws and regulations related to DEI and pay equity worldwide, and participating in legislative affairs.
  • Working with the product team to ensure accurate and sound methodology of the software, in addition to assisting with other legal corporate matters as needed.

Additional Responsibilities (amongst others):
  • Develop and implement strategies to address pay equity issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to clients on all aspects of pay equity, including compensation policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to pay equity and provide guidance to clients accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, industry organizations, and other key stakeholders to promote the company's expertise in pay equity.
  • Work collaboratively with other legal team members and provide guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Preferred at least 5 years of experience as an attorney specializing in pay equity audits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify patterns and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal professionals and interact effectively with clients.
  • Demonstrable expertise in all aspects of pay equity globally.
  • Experience conducting pay equity audits and developing strategies to address any disparities or potential risks.
  • Experience as a thought leader, including public speaking and participation in conferences, webinars, and other events.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
