Responsibilities and practice:
Dentons US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to join our sophisticated Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, 3-5 years of legal experience, and proven ability to manage complex litigation and investigations. Ideal candidates will have extensive complex litigation experience. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working on all aspects of disputes from inception through trial and appeal where relevant
- Taking and defending depositions and related work with witnesses and experts
- Drafting and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions and other documents
- Managing complex disputes, including running discovery and complex document review
- Supporting the team on business development and other litigation-related matters as needed
Position Requirements:

- Has strong problem-solving skills and uses research, legal knowledge and expertise to tackle complex problems

- Is dedicated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic
- Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills
Technical skills:
- 3-5 years of complex litigation experience is required
- Strong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills are required
- Deposition and court experience is preferred
- Previous law firm experience is preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and be in good standing
- Must include a law school transcript and strong writing sample with application
