We are seeking an individual with a strong background in commercial contracts relevant to a technology company as it relates to our customers and vendors. As our Commercial Counsel, you will support internal business partners and assist on a broad variety of transactional matters in a growing technology company.

Our ideal candidate should enjoy the responsibility and autonomy that comes with owning problems and finding solutions. You can effectively navigate a diverse organization involving a wide variety of audiences, including under time-sensitive situations. You are ready to jump into a deal at a moment's notice and become an expert on the intricate details of the contracts. You have strong knowledge of US commercial/transactional law and are based in the US or a compatible timezone.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead drafting and negotiation of commercial customer contracts.
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
  • Assist in defining and building infrastructure to effectively deliver legal support in a scalable manner to Acrolinx' rapidly expanding customer portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams to move deals to execution.

What we value:
  • Experience in working in commercial contracting or technology transactions. Prior experience working in-house preferred, ideally at a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Ability to manage nuanced commercial transactions, including the negotiation of SaaS and licensing agreements with our customers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a cross-functional team, using effective communication, strong writing, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability developing creative and analytical solutions to novel issues, while driving a portfolio of projects with minimal direction.
