Description:
Qualifications:- Law Degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida
- 3-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN INSURANCE DEFENSE REQUIRED
- Must be able to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents
- Strong ability to perform research and effectively communicate the results
- Analyze both federal and state laws and regulations
- Can work within defined processes and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution, including investigation, discovery, motions practice, drafting of pleadings, and trial preparation.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress, discuss strategy, and address any concerns.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
- Interview and depose witnesses, parties, and non-parties and further facilitate the discovery process.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials, effectively presenting evidence and arguments to support our clients' positions.
- Draft legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, and discovery responses, as well as correspondence to clients, counsel, and the court.
- Research and analyze law sources, such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to develop case-specific defense strategies.
- Stay abreast of developments in insurance law and civil procedure, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of client guidelines and billing protocols and procedures; enter billable time into case management platform contemporaneously.
