Job Duties:
  • Record Attendance and Timely Grades and Feedback for Students
  • Participate in Departmental Meetings and Contribute to Curriculum Development.
  • Attend Workshops and Training Sessions on Teaching Methods or Legal Updates.
  • Ensure Compliance with Institutional Policies and Academic Standards.
  • Participate in Adjunct Faculty Meetings with Course Coordinator (once a Semester)
  • Participate in Aba Site Visit Meeting with Adjunct Faculty (once Every Six Years)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Engaging and Clear Lectures on Topics Such as Contracts, Corporate Governance, Business Ethics, and Employment Law.
  • Develop and Update Syllabi, Lesson Plans, and Course Materials.
  • Align Course Objectives with Institutional Learning Outcomes.
  • Stay Updated with Trends and Changes in Business Law.
  • Foster an Interactive Classroom Environment Using Case Studies, Group Discussions, and Real-World Applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Working Conditions:
  • The Current Opening Is for Bus 107 Business Law at The James Kearney Campus Is Trenton, Nj on Mondays and Wednesdays at Noon until 1:20 Pm. the Successful Candidate Must Be Able to Teach in Person at This Campus Throughout the Semester.

Ada and Other Requirements
Positions in This Class Typically Require: Ability to Use a Keyboard, Hearing, Seeing and Repetitive Motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up To 10 Pounds of Force Occasionally And/or a Negligible Amount of Force Frequently or Constantly to Lift, Carry, Push, Pull or Otherwise Move Objects Including the Human Body. Sedentary Work Involves Sitting Most of The Time. Jobs Are Sedentary if Walking and Standing Are Required only Occasionally and All Other Sedentary Criteria Are Met.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (jd) or Ph D in Business Law or Closely Related Degree.
  • Five (5) or More Years of Experience in Business Law.
  • Maintain Professional Credentials in Law and Education.
  • Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to Deliver Engaging, Clear, and Organized Lectures.
  • Ability to Establish Rapport with Students, Faculty, and Staff.
  • Skill in Developing and Encouraging Analytical and Critical Thinking Through Case Studies and Discussions.
  • Familiarity with Current Trends, Case Law, and Statutory Changes in Business Law.
  • Comprehensive Understanding of U.S. Business Law, Including Contracts, Corporate Law, Torts, Intellectual Property, Employment Law, and Business Ethics.
  • Awareness of How Business Law Applies to Various Industries and Practical Scenarios.
  • Ability to Use Learning Management Systems Like Canvas, Blackboard, Ultra or Related Systems.
  • Skill in Designing Fair and Rigorous Assessments, Including Exams, Essays, and Case Study Evaluations.
  • Ability to Provide Constructive Feedback to Foster Student Improvement.
  • Ability to Address Classroom Challenges, Resolve Conflicts, and Adapt to Changing Circumstances in A Dynamic Academic Environment.
  • Ineffective Use of Instructional Technology in The College Classroom.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Secondary Graduate Degree in Business Master of Business Administration (mba) or Doctor of Business Administration (dba).
  • Teaching Experience in An American Bar Association (aba) Approved College Program.
