Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and skilled attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law, but prior workers' compensation experience is not a requirement. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex cases, provide strategic legal counsel, and contribute to the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in workers' compensation claims before administrative bodies and courts.
- Provide legal advice and strategic counsel to clients
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in maritime law and workers' compensation regulations.
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop case strategies and ensure efficient case management.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing.
- 0-10 years of legal experience (prior experience in workers' compensation is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and maintaining client confidentiality.
