Summary
As a member of the Illumina multi-disciplinary Legal team, the attorney will represent the company in a broad range of transactional matters having commercial and intellectual property components.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the corporate development, business unit, and patent teams to implement the company’s commercial and intellectual property decisions in written agreements
- Draft, interpret, analyze, and negotiate a variety of complex domestic and international commercial and intellectual property agreements including license (including software license), sales, strategic partnership, collaboration, research, marketing, development, settlement, supply, material transfer, nondisclosure, and consulting agreements
- Develop template agreements and terms of use
- Counsel Illumina personnel located in the US and abroad on wide ranging legal issues arising in connection with the development, supply and commercialization of Illumina products and components used in Illumina products
- Address issues that arise in connection with Illumina technology transfer relationships.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Member of the CA bar or able to practice as an in-house attorney under CA out-of-state attorney rules
The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $149,600 - $224,400. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
