Job Description:
A General Practice & Litigation Law Firm a leading law firm specializing in personal injury defense, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated attorney with substantial experience in defending motor vehicle accident cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury defense, with a particular emphasis on jury trial experience. Admission to the New York State Bar is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in personal injury defense cases arising from motor vehicle accidents.
Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Manage all aspects of case preparation, including discovery, depositions, and expert witness coordination.
Effectively communicate with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel to develop case strategies.
Represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, and trials, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.
Handle jury trials independently or as part of a trial team, leveraging litigation skills and trial advocacy expertise.
Ability to work in other departments within the firm including first party litigation, arbitration litigation, government litigation, transaction services as well as general litigation
Ability to work on appellate matters.

Qualifications:

J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to the New York State Bar.
Minimum of [3] years of experience in personal injury defense, with a focus on motor vehicle accident cases.
Demonstrated experience in handling jury trials, including case strategy, client advocacy, and courtroom presentation.
Strong legal writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client and team interactions.
