Description:

A Probate, Estate Planning, and Guardianship Lawyer has an immediate need for a probate and estate planning paralegal with 2 or more years' experience with a law firm. The position will be full-time employment with hourly pay commensurate with experience and qualifications, with some flexibility in work schedule. The candidate must have a high level of professionalism with strong communication skills and attention to detail, and be proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Probate and estate planning experience is a plus, but not required. A college degree is preferred. Candidate must be willing to submit to a background check.

The firm paralegal will be working with several attorneys and must be able to manage a variety of ongoing tasks, including answering phones and maintaining the attorney calendar. The paralegal will interact with potential and current clients on the phone and in the office. Estate administration duties include drafting various probate documents, setting hearings, calendaring court hearings and deadlines, e-filing, preparing notices and correspondence, and managing a wide range of estate administration tasks. Estate planning duties include attending Will signing ceremonies as a witness and managing estate planning files.

The paralegal will also assist with various firm management and administrative duties.

The office is located close to the Galleria area in Houston.
