The Walton Law Group seeks a driven and knowledgeable attorney to add to our legal team. We are looking for an attorney who can handle the growing complexities of the legal system and ensure that our firm provides our clients with the best legal advice and service. The right candidate will have excellent research skills and the ability to advise clients in criminal and civil cases. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in our practice areas, including criminal and civil, property, family, trust and deeds, and probate law. We are looking for the ability to work independently and with a team. The Walton Law Group is a small firm that has experienced steady growth, and the successful candidate will find a challenging and unique role reporting to the Managing Member.

Attorney responsibilities include:

Developing client relationships that help build trust and expand our client base
Representing clients in court
Creating case strategies to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
Developing strategies for solving cases cost-effectively and favorably for our clients
Explaining legal choices to clients and the implications of the choices
Preparing and reviewing legal documents in a timely and accurate manner.
Staying informed about current legislation, especially changing legal practices and ethical considerations.
Guiding clients through complex problems to determine the appropriate application of law and ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations
Maintaining continuous communication with all clients about case status and court appearances.

Attorney Education and Experience:

Admission to the Maryland Bar is required. Bar admission in both Maryland and the District of Columbia is preferred. VA Bar a Bonus.
Minimum 10-12 years of experience; 3+ Years of litigation experience
Computer and Case management software literate
